Under the Cooperation Programme 2023–28 Switzerland will contribute to improving the socio-economic well-being of women and men and support an inclusive and accountable federal state in Nepal. Switzerland pursues this goal by working across three complementary and interlinked intervention areas: 1) federal state building, 2) sustainable economic development and, 3) climate change and DRR. Approaches focused on federal state building, as well as gender equality and social inclusion are mainstreamed into all Swiss interventions.
Federal State Building
Strengthening inclusive and accountable institutions as well as service delivery in the new federal state.
Employment and Income
Building a conducive environment for inclusive economic growth and increase employment opportunities and income for women and men, including from disadvantaged groups.
Migration
Improving the economic and social well-being and protection of migrants and their families.
